A FEW IMPORTANT THINGS ABOUT US
As the name suggests, Waves on the Beach is located right on the beach in a premier location in Frankston. The views from the venue are simply breathtaking, and are the perfect backdrop for any special wedding.
Our venue is suited towards more intimate weddings – if you want to have a couple of hundred people seated at a huge venue, we are not the place for you. However if you are comfortable in seating up to 80 people, or holding a Finger Food Wedding for up to 150 people – Waves on the Beach is the perfect venue. Furthermore we have a range of beverage packages, which you can view under the Wedding Packages Tab.
With our team of experienced chefs, we ensure that the meals served will not only look and taste absolutely delicious but will also be of reasonable size. A big belief of ours when it comes to weddings is that no one should be left hungry. We will make sure that all of your guests are completely satisfied.
Another way we separate ourselves from other wedding venues is our price. We offer incredible value. As you will see, despite having more appeal than most other venues, we have a considerably lower price. Unlike most reception venues we don’t feel the need to charge a huge premium for weddings. Our prices are the same for all events. Furthermore, there are no hidden costs – all the costs are outlined in this guide. Hosting weddings is something we really enjoy – we do it extremely well.
By having years of experience specialising in weddings, we make sure that no detail is overlooked. We believe in having constant communication with our clients, and are somewhat flexible with requests.
Every wedding that we have hosted has been an incredible experience for our clientele. We do book out quickly, so make sure you book early to secure the date that you want.

SEATING CAPACITY
Seated Wedding: (Set Menu Weddings A & B)
If you would like a seated wedding, we can seat up to 80 guests with a dance floor area.
Finger Food Wedding: (Finger Food Package)
If a seated wedding isn’t for you, we can do a Finger Food Wedding. We are finding Finger Food Weddings are the new trend and have become extremely popular. We have the capacity to hold up to 150 people. If you would like to have scattered couches or a few tables with chairs (especially for the elderly), this number will drop slightly. Either way, we can set up the restaurant to what suits you best.
We can set up a seaside bar on the balcony at no extra cost (weather permitting). Many of our previous weddings have enjoyed a champagne cocktail on the balcony upon arrival.

MINIMUM CHARGES
The total minimum charge (i.e. including food/drinks) for a wedding function at Waves on the Beach is:

Therefore, you can have an entire seaside venue for your wedding for as little as $3,000 in the offpeak and $6,000 during peak times (inclusive of all charges).

Bookings
BOOKINGS AND DEPOSITS
The deposit must be paid along with a signed terms & conditions form at the time of booking. The final number of guests is to be given one-week prior to your function, along with full payment. Any additional costs on the day of function must be finalised that day. Deposits will be taken off the final bill.

All prices are inclusive of GST. Prices remain as quoted if booking made within 12 months. With any booking greater than 12 months in advance, management reserves the right to vary price at any point up till 3 months prior to function date. We do not accept AMEX, Diners or Cheques. Management can alter menu if particular produce is unavailable – we will endeavour to substitute produce to create a similar menu item as requested.
CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be made in writing to the:

If less than 3 months notice is given to cancel booking, your deposit will be forfeited. If the client cancels a booking within 7 days or less prior to the day on which the function is to be held, not only will the client forfeit the entire deposit and in addition shall, upon demand of Waves on the Beach in writing, pay up to 75% of the estimated spend.

You can select any, and as many finger foods as you like.
The only requirement is that the total equals or surpasses the minimum dollar spend amounts of $38.50 (off-peak) and $48.50 (peak).
i.e. 7 x $5.50 finger food items = $38.50 (which would be fine during off-peak)
or 3 x$7.50 items + 5 x $5.50 items = $50.00 (which would be fine during peak)
The finger foods are of generous proportions. We have a supervisor monitoring guest satisfaction to ensure that each and every guest is extremely satisfied.
We can cater for any special dietary requirements. You also have the option of planning when meals are to be served and in what order.

BEVERAGE PACKAGES
Regarding drinks, you have 2 options: either a Beverage Package (see below) or running a bar tab.
In order to have the Beverage Package option, all guests must purchase this. Conversely you can simply have a running bar tab.
The upside to the Beverage Packages below is that it entitles your guests to UNLIMITED drinks for the amount of time you have purchased.
